About Ahas Gawwa
Ahas Gawwa is a unique adventure destination with luxury accommodation and having facilities for camping including extreme camping. The elevation is 366 m from mean sea level which facilitates to get a panoramic view of sea line approximately from Wadduwa to Colombo. It also has a view of the mountains similar to the famous Ella gap. Guests shall experience the adventure activities like Paintball, Hiking, Bird Watching, Trekking, Bush Walking, and Survival and so on.
An Asian breakfast is served daily at the property. There are three types of rooms/tenting available in the property. All units have a sitting area. Towels and bed linen are provided. Guests can enjoy with an authentic Sri Lankan meal and packed lunches available upon request.
Visiting one of the Colonial tea factories, “Seethawaka” wet zone botanical garden, “Kumari Ella” Waterfall, “Kodi Kanda” the highest mountain in the Western Province, Village trip shall be arranged on request as value added facilities for the Guests. Ahas Gawwa is located 11.5 km off Padukka and anyone can reach to Colombo within 2 hours from the property. The nearest airport is Bandaranaike International Airport and it is 72.3 km from Ahas Gawwa.

Kumari Ella Falls
Kumari Ella is located in Puwakpitiya, Avissawella; just 45 minutes drive from Ahas Gawwa. This little cascade has a deep plunge pool at its base that is extremely dangerous to swim. Kumari Ella gains its name from “Kumari”, the daughter of King Rajasinghe 1 of Sitawaka, who died by drowning there.
